Geology exposed in the cliffs of the Tongaporutu River, North Taranaki, at the car park and entrance to the Three Sisters. The Grey layer at the bottom of the cliff represents an ancient Submarine Landslide. On top of it sits yellow sandstone deposited by a Basin Floor Fan. 3D model made from Phantom 4 drone photographs, processed with Agisoft Metashape, by Andrew Boyes of GNS Science.
