Strain in Dementia Care (SDCS) and available supporting policies for New Brunswick Care Aides

This dataset was collected to answer the research question of how person-centered care polices in long-term care facilities are related to the job strain experienced by care aides. Data was collected using surveys administered in-person at the UNB Long Term Care Research Simulation Lab during the summer of 2024. Data contains non-identifying demographic information, the answers to all items on the Strain in Dementia Care Scale part 1 and 2 (Edberg et al., 2015), and the presence or absence of polices derived from the DemPol-Q (Hoffman et al., 2022).
