How much timber from Norway spruce (Picea abies L.) is left on the harvesting site in the form of treetops? A study on scaling and grading yields of harvesters.

The file dataset "data_csv" contains the following quantities: (1) DBH (m) - diameters at breast height (diameter of processed log 1.3 m from the but end); (2) diameter class ( - ) - log classification depending on DBH (e.g. diameter class 0.10 = interval 9.1 - 11 cm); (3) length of log (m) - length of processed log; (4) timber loss (m3) - timber volume of log from the last cut to diameter 7 cm (last cut with a diameter ≥ 7 cm); (5) timber surplus (m3) - timber volume of log from the diameter 7 cm to the last cut (last cut with a diameter < 7 cm). 

The file dataset "STM_data_set_raw" contains the raw data from *.STM files.
