Rohingya Focus Group Discussions- 2018

Months after approximately 700,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh to escape brutalities in their home-state in Myanmar, there are now declining trends in funding and threats from monsoon season challenges right around the corner, making it imperative to reevaluate whether resources are being allocated efficiently according to the true needs of the population. Previously we have completed a quantitative rapid needs assessment highlighting concerns regarding education, disease burden, access to healthcare, quality of shelters, and fears for the future. Here, we follow up with a qualitative wing in order to take a deeper dive into the overall perception of the Rohingya regarding the current conditions in the camps, various aspects of livelihood, and fears and aspirations for their future.
