Gene expression profile at single cell level of the placenta from pregnant mice undergoing circadian disruption.

The placenta is composed of distinct cell types. Single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) was performed to analyze the diversity of cell types contained in the placenta. C57BL/6J pregnant mice were randomly divided and housed under either the control 12h-light/ 12h-dark condition (CON) or chronically phase-shifted condition (CPS) where phase was advanced by 8 hours every 5 days exclusively during pregnancy. On embryonic day 18.5, the placenta was collected and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
