Local steroid treatment and surgery

We share the raw data of our study named as "Local Steroid Treatment: An Effective Procedure for Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis, Including Complicated Cases". Our study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of local steroid treatment (LST) for idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) and to compare with surgical methods. The most likely hypothesis is that IGM is an autoinflammatory disease. Based on this hypothesis and the results of our study, suppressing inflammation in patients with IGM rather than resection was found to be more effective and acceptable. Data of the study was retrospectively collected from hospital electronic records and patient follow-up forms. Clinical characteristics of patients, pain scores during treatment proscesses, changes in lesion sizes, costs of the treatments and results of LST are included in file in excel formats.
