The blade and faces are ground and the blade is polished and sharp. Pecking is on the face and butt. One face has a groove along the centre of its length. The findspot is [Newcastle](https://www.logainm.ie/en/32657), Ballymahon, [Longford](https://www.geonames.org/2962840/longford.html).
