Our study aims to investigate the variations in the structure and function of gut microorganisms among 3-7 years school-age children from different regions in north and south of China, and to delineate the dissimilarities in bacterial microbiota during the school-age period of childhood in northern and southern China.In this study.88 Chinese children (43 of whom are school-age in Northern China and 45 of whom are school-age in South China) are studied by deep metagenomic sequencing. School-age Children with Northern China school age groups (N groups) and South China school age groups (S groups) are compared in terms of gut microbial composition and functions.
