Sequencing of CMV-responsive T cells from pre- to one year post-transplant in recipients of heart or kidney

This study consisted of longitudinal analysis using a targeted single cell TCR sequencing and gene expression approach (published at DOI 10.1038/nbt.2938) of CMV-responsive CD4 and CD8 T cells from six recipients of heart or kidney transplant. Cells were stimulated for 5 hours with a CMV IE-1 peptide library and IFNg+ CD4 and CD8 T cells isolated as CMV-responsive. The goal was to identify longitudinal changes in the TCR repertoire and function from pre- to post-transplant and out to a year post-transplant.
