The dataset originates from the 2015 Dynamic Monitoring Survey on Floating Population implemented by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China. It was subsequently processed using STATA statistical software to produce an Excel attribute data table. This dataset captures the basic demographic characteristics of the floating population across China's urban agglomerations in 2015, covering population counts and column-wise percentage distributions of gender ratio, age structure, place of household registration, ethnicity, educational attainment, household registration type, marital status and other indicators within respective classification ranges.
