Through BORA Blue Ocean Research Alliance®, scientists at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) and engineers from Subsea7 have integrated novel sensors (BORAbox®) onto a Hercules work class ROV on the Seven Seas vessel. The BORAbox® measures carbonate system parameters during Subsea7 ROV operations. The BORAbox® consists of NOC total alkalinity (TA) and Clearwater Sensors pH lab-on-chip microfluidic sensors and a MIDAS CTD to provide temperature, salinity and depth measurements. Data were collected in the North Atlantic Ocean offshore from Trinidad from 6th December 2024 until 20th March 2025 by BORAbox® #6. Positional information was provided by the ROV. Funding support for this data collection was provided by BP. This is version 2 of the dataset with some updates to the metadata.
