Effects of sink to source transition on chitin response of young leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana

RNAseq profiling of the chitin response in young leaves from plants in which mature leaves have been left exposed to light or covered to reveal differences associated with the sink source transition. Differential gene expression was performed on total RNA and revealed that the response in leaves that have been forced to transition to carbon source status exhibit a greater chitin response.
