Fecal Microbiota Diversity Analysis in Spinal Cord Injury and Sham-Operated SD Rats

This study investigates the gut microbiota composition in Sprague-Dawley rats subjected to spinal cord injury (SCI) compared to sham-operated controls. Fecal samples were collected 7 days post-injury and analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing to assess microbial diversity and community structure. The objective is to explore how SCI affects the gut microbial ecosystem and its potential link to inflammation and neuroimmune responses.
