This thesis examines the stages of agricultural development in the Khorezm region during the period 1938–1991. It analyzes the characteristics of Soviet agrarian policy, cotton monoculture, irrigation and land reclamation (melioration) activities, livestock farming, and the condition of other agricultural sectors. The study also highlights the socio-economic and environmental factors that influenced the development of agriculture in the region.
