Mobile prototype for the recognition of images of native potatoes.

A prototype has been designed for the recognition of images of native potatoes, using a database of 10,290 bounding boxes from the Peruanita, Amarilla del Centro, Huayro Rojo, and Huamantanga varieties. The prototype was trained with a YOLO v5 model, taking into account the requirement for offline processing in a mobile environment. The prototype can be installed on an Android device running Android 10 or later. Users can use the camera on their mobile device to detect the varieties with a precision of over 85%. The bounding boxes, variety labels, and scores per variety are distinguished in the output.
