Female gender and Quality of Life outcomes in myasthenia gravis: a systematic review and meta-analysis

This database contains the reported data from 15 articles exploring the differences in quality of life (QoL) outcomes between men and women living with myasthenia gravis (MG).The purpose of the author of this database was to render the data accessible for those who had an interest in understanding the selection process of these articles within a systematic review meta-analysis, or those who require information on myasthenia gravis for their own research.Out of 37 articles found on PubMed, EMBASE and PsychInfo, 11 were selected as the others did not provide seperate outcome measures for men and women. Subsequently, articles were excluded due to high risk of bias (assessed with the Newcastle-Ottawa scale) and not providing mean and SD of QoL, but Median and IQR. Thus, only 6 articles could be utilized for the analysis.
