The emergence and rapid development of digital trade have created new opportunities for enterprises that previously faced disadvantages in traditional trade, which may lead to income inequality among enterprises. Digital trade mainly benefits exports, which in turn has a positive effect on wage equality between firms and within industries, thereby increasing wage inequality between industries. Digital trade increases average wages and reduces the number of low-wage enterprises. However, the bulk of the benefits from trade may accrue to high-income exporting companies.
