Photographs of plans showing the block including the Government Printing Office, Phillip Street. The originals were possibly Surveyor General plans. SR Document No.27 is a "Sketch showing 7 allots. in Section 107, City of Sydney (copied from Mr. Townsend's original) prepared for exhibition at sale 1845". It shows the southern half of the block enclosed by Macquarie, Bridge, Phillip, and Bent Streets. The original of this was possibly Surveyor General plan catalogued S.137. SR Document No.28 is a "Sketch showing the position of 13 buildings allotments in the Parish of St. James, City of Sydney, measured on the application to purchase of Messrs. Morehead & Young and others," 1853. It shows the block enclosed by Macquarie, Bridge, Phillip, and Bent Streets. SR Document No.29 is "County of Cumberland, City of Sydney, Parish of St. James, Section 107. 24 perches authorised as site for the Government Printing Office" 1855. The original of this was possibly Surveyor General plan catalogued S.234. It shows the block enclosed by Macquarie, Bridge, Phillip, and Bent Streets. (SR Document Nos. 27-29). 3 photographs.
