This series consists of minute books (1910-89) and rough minute books (18 February 1910-2 February 1911) of meetings of the Board of Fire Commissioners. The rough minute books record the meetings in a briefer form than the minute books and are initialled by the President. The minute books were signed by the President or the Chairman.Up until 1979, the minute books are large hard-bound volumes. From 1980, each "volume" comprises multiple soft-bound parts bundled together with tape.
