These data depict select lines demarcating Rockfish Conservation Areas (RCA) off the coast of California and are generated by waypoints described in Title 50 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 660 Subpart C where waypoints at the 30 fm (55 m) through 150 fm (273 m) depth contours can be found at § 660.71 through § 660.73. This feature includes the 30, 40, 50, 100, and 150 fathom lines offshore of California and are grouped by Management Area. RCA boundaries change seasonally and California fishing regulations should always be referenced for currency. These lines were created using the csv data provided by NOAA National Marine Fisheries and are current as of 1/1/2025 (https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/resource/data/depth-based-boundary-lines-west-coast).
