Evaluating a Community-Led COVID-19 Testing Intervention to Address Mistrust

The goal of this study was to address community concerns with self-administering COVID-19 testing through a community-led intervention co-developed with Housing Collaborative Community Advisory Board (HC CAB). HC CAB partners reported that this partnership helped overcome mistrust common in the communities HC CAB serves. The nature of this interaction\u2014which led the leading organizations to be viewed as trustworthy\u2014was described as being an important intervention in and of itself. A central question in discussions on this topic was how to replicate this process of trust-building. This study was an attempt to standardize a process of relationship and trust building to be used as core components of a COVID-19 testing intervention which could be exported and reproduced in other settings.
