The data comprises micro-CTscans of paratypes for the lacertid lizards Pedioplanis mayeri Childers, Kirchhof Bauer, 2021 and Pedioplanis branchi Childers, Kirchhof Bauer, 2021. The scans were generated in order to count presacral vertebrae over the course of the description of these two new species. The dataset contains scans of 6 individuals (4 P. branchi -2 males and 2 females; 2 P. mayeri - 1 male and 1 female) and provides their MfN accession numbers (ZMB numbers). Micro-CT scans were obtained using a Phoenix nanotom X-ray|s tube at 85 kV and 120 or 150 μA, generating 1440 projections with 750 ms per scan, with differing kV-settings depending on the respective specimen size. Effective voxel size, i.e., resolution in three-dimensional space, ranged from 12.8 to 14.3 μm. The cone beam reconstruction was performed using the datos|x-reconstruction software (GE Sensing Inspection Technologies GMBH phoenix|x-ray datos|x 2.2) and the data were visualized in VG Studio Max 3.1.
