What are the experiences of adult children in shared decision making of their parents care in residential aged care facilities?

Ph.D. - Using Narrative Inquiry to complete a qualitative study. Semi-structured face to face interviews using open-ended questions will be used to collect information with participants in the community either in a mutually agreed upon setting, i.e. residential aged care setting, in participant home, or public space Approximately 10 participants will be interviewed. The interviews will be recorded using a digital voice recorder, transcribed to text, then analysed using Narrative Inquiry, and thematic analysis. All data will be stored temporality and uploaded and then transcribed by the researcher. After the transcription has been analysed and checked for accuracy the recording and de-identified, the audio will be deleted. Transcription will be stored as per data storage requirements.
