VPRS 5374 Full Court Book

The Full Court of the Supreme Court consists of three judges sitting together. The Full Court hears appeals against the decisions of lower courts or the Supreme Court itself (sitting as a Court of Criminal Appeal); it considers references or cases stated on questions of law under a variety of Acts and exercises the supervisory jurisdiction of the Supreme Court pursuant to the Rules of the Court.This series provides a summary of cases heard by the Full Court. Details of plaintiffs and defendants and associated counsel are given with the dates of the hearing set down, when returnable, that of the result and of when the order was issued. The nature of the proceedings is given with most of these being to do with appeals, with Order to Review or applications for leave to appeal. The Remarks column may give the names of the sitting judges (the Coram) or have notations regarding the documentation of the case or further appeal to the High Court of Australia.
