Minutes of Standing Committee meeting 2025-02 Local History and Genealogy Section Standing Committee Wednesday, 12 February 2025, 11:00 PM-12:00 PM Tokyo Time (Japan). Via Zoom 1. Member present were: Cherie Bush, Takashi Nagatsuka, Jennifer Brannock, Dragon Milošević, Wei Peng, Jingzhu Wei, Joyce Jelks, Petro Coreejes-Brink,. The number of attendees is 8. 2. Elections are ongoing. Takashi is waiting for an updated list from IFLA to see how many slots are still open. The nomination period ends on 24 February. The actual elections will take place in March/April. 3. IFLA approved of the LOCGEN satellite meeting. Call for papers should be sent out later this week. 4. Jennifer, Takash, Jingzhu Wei and Joyce will be attending WLIC. Dragan and Cherie have submitted a request for travel to their organizations. 5. Jennifer has scheduled a webinar for 19 April. 6. Jingzhu Wei has agreed to give a webinar but one has not been scheduled yet.
