The aim of this study was to deeply characterize the bacterial community associated to PWD vectors in Europe and East Asia using a culture-independent approach.DNA was extracted from insect’s tracheal system and the V3 region of the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced through 454 pyroseqeuncing.This study presents a detailed description of the bacterial community associated to tracheas of Monochamus insects.
