Data used for the CH4 inverse modelling simulations described in https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2024-3122. Four files are provided: observations.nc contains the modelled CH4 mixing ratios obtained in all (prior and posterior) LUMIA simulations described in the study, as well as relevant observation metadata (uncertainties, coordinates, site name, contributor, etc.) emissions.nc contains the emissions (prior and posterior, for wetlands and the remaining CH4 emissions, or as a total when relevant). the two "ensemble-stats" files provide the mean and standard deviation of the (100-members) LPJ-GUESS ensembles used in the GRaB-AM wetland emission estimation. The files also provide annually averaged spatial correlations, and domain-averaged temporal correlations, as used in the LUMIA-Lprior+corr and LUMIA-Lpost+corr inversions of the manuscript. Variable-specific information (description, units, etc.) is provided in the netCDF metadata of each file.
