资源简介:
**Overview**
This data package includes information regarding Clinical Classification Software (CCS) for Diagnosis and Procedure Codes for International Classification of Diseases for Clinical Modification as well as Procedure Classification System. It also comprises of data about CCS for Mortality Reporting Program. It contains information regarding single level CCS for ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes.
**Description**
This data package contains the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) developed the Clinical Classifications Software (CCS), a tool for clustering patient diagnoses and procedures into a manageable number of clinically meaningful categories. CCS offers researchers the ability to group conditions and procedures without having to sort through thousands of codes and makes it easier to quickly understand patterns of diagnoses and procedures so that health plans, policymakers, and researchers can analyze costs, utilization, and outcomes associated with particular illnesses and procedures. CCS for ICD-10-CM and Procedure Classification System (PCS) is a diagnosis and procedure categorization scheme that can be employed in many types of projects analyzing data on diagnoses and procedures. CCS is based on the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10), a uniform and standardized coding system. CCS consists of two related classification systems, single-level and multi-level, which are designed to meet different needs. Single-level CCS is most useful for ranking of diagnoses and procedures and for direct integration into risk adjustment and other software. Multi-level CCS is ideal for evaluating larger aggregations of conditions and procedures or exploring these groupings in greater detail.
**Benefits**
- Useful for medical health planners, policymakers and medical research groups and medical students. clinical classifications software (ccs) for icd-10-cm database is available on hcup website in raw form, whereas a john snow labs(jsl) customer gets it in a clean and normalized form ready to use and create his own custom reports. easy to comprehend for the customers who are unfamiliar with the medical terminologies as all abbreviated terms are replaced with full form, unlike healthcare cost and utilization project (hcup) original datasets which are full of abbreviations. recent dataset for 2018 is available for use.
**License Information**

**Data Engineering Overview**
**We deliver high-quality data**
- Each dataset goes through 3 levels of quality review
- 2 Manual reviews are done by domain experts
- Then, an automated set of 60+ validations enforces every datum matches metadata & defined constraints
- Data is normalized into one unified type system
- All dates, unites, codes, currencies look the same
- All null values are normalized to the same value
- All dataset and field names are SQL and Hive compliant
- Data and Metadata
- Data is available in both CSV and Apache Parquet format, optimized for high read performance on distributed Hadoop, Spark & MPP clusters
- Metadata is provided in the open Frictionless Data standard, and its every field is normalized & validated
- Data Updates
- Data updates support replace-on-update: outdated foreign keys are deprecated, not deleted
**Our data is curated and enriched by domain experts**
Each dataset is manually curated by our team of doctors, pharmacists, public health & medical billing experts:
- Field names, descriptions, and normalized values are chosen by people who actually understand their meaning
- Healthcare & life science experts add categories, search keywords, descriptions and more to each dataset
- Both manual and automated data enrichment supported for clinical codes, providers, drugs, and geo-locations
- The data is always kept up to date – even when the source requires manual effort to get updates
- Support for data subscribers is provided directly by the domain experts who curated the data sets
- Every data source’s license is manually verified to allow for royalty-free commercial use and redistribution.
