This work focuses on investigating intraspecific trait-environment relationships. The scripts include the data processing and analysis pipeline: Data Preprocessing: Standardization of species names, cleaning and integration of species trait data, environmental variables (e.g., CHELSA), and future climate data. Trait and environmental variables are scaled and summarized across ecoregions.Driver tree preparation: Construction of distance matrices to capture functional niche differences and trait plasticity among species.Estimation of Trait Plasticity and Responses: Implementation of species-level models to decompose trait variance and evaluate trait-environment relationships, including comparisons across different modeling approaches.constraint Pagel's lambda calculation: Quantification and tabulation of trait response signals using Pagel's λ, supported by visual examples.Clustering-Based Model Improvement: Experimental clustering to enhance trait-environment relationship modeling and evaluation of model performance improvements.Response Diversity analysis: Analysis of how trait diversity contributes to differing species responses across environmental gradients.Supplementary Analyses: Visual and statistical examples illustrating key mechanisms, including trait variance decomposition, phylogenetic signals, and functional niche differentiation.
