The brain is an important controller of glucose homeostasis and mediates counterregulatory responses to hypoglycemia. We used single-nuclei transcriptomics to study the mechanisms of defective hypoglycaemia counter-regulation in brain in a model of diabetic mice exposed to acute or recurrent hypoglycemia. Single nuclei were isolated from hypothalamus and cortex tissues of diabetic mice subjected to recurrent (RH) or acute hypoglycemia (AH) and used to generate transcriptome profiles.
