Bone Regeneration in Rat Calvarial Defects with Tunable Mineralized Collagen Microgels: Micro-CT (Longitudinal & Ex Vivo) and Histology

In this dataset, we provide comprehensive in vivo and ex vivo data evaluating bone regeneration in 8 mm rat calvarial defects treated with tunable mineralized collagen microgels. The dataset includes longitudinal in vivo micro-CT scans acquired at 4, 8, and 12 weeks post-implantation, high-resolution ex vivo micro-CT imaging at 12 weeks, and histological analyses (H&E, Masson’s Trichrome, Picrosirius Red) of defect sites. Together, these data capture the effects of scaffold mineralization on bone healing dynamics.
