葵花8（Himawari-8）是日本气象厅（JMA）发射的第八颗气象卫星，于2015年7月7日起服役，2022年底由设计和职能完全相同的葵花9（Himawari-9）接替。Himawari-8气象卫星有观测通道16个，它具有3个可见光、3个近红外和10个红外通道。同时具有更高的时间和空间分辨率，其中可见光通道云图分辨率达到0.5公里，近红外和红外通道云图分辨率达到1到2公里，全盘图观测频率达到每10分钟一次。本数据集为完整16个通道全盘观测数据。

Himawari-8 is the eighth meteorological satellite launched by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). It entered service on July 7, 2015, and was replaced by Himawari-9, which has identical design and functions, by the end of 2022. The Himawari-8 meteorological satellite is equipped with 16 observation channels, including 3 visible light channels, 3 near-infrared channels and 10 infrared channels. It also features higher temporal and spatial resolution: the cloud image resolution of visible light channels reaches 0.5 km, that of near-infrared and infrared channels ranges from 1 to 2 km, and the full-disk observation frequency is once every 10 minutes. This dataset contains complete full-disk observation data across all 16 channels.
