Truck Parking Locations (Atlanta Region and Adjacent Counties)

<p>This layer was developed for the <a target='_blank' href='https://atlantaregional.org/what-we-do/transportation-planning/freight-transportation/2024-atlanta-regional-freight-mobility-plan/' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'><i>2024 Atlanta Regional Freight Mobility Plan</i> (<i>2024 ARFMP</i>) </a>and published by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). The data shows privately and publicly owned truck parking locations in and directly adjacent to the Atlanta region. As part of the <i>2024 ARFMP </i>development, the ARC gathered and updated existing data on truck parking, reviewing individual sites to ensure their continued operations and validate the number of spaces offered. The data includes both truck parking for multi-hour rest periods at publicly owned facilities and at privately owned facilities (referred to as "public parking" and "private parking" respectively). It also includes known locations of long-term truck parking and storage in industrial areas (referred to as "tractor trailer" in the parking type field).&nbsp;</p><p>The layer is part of the ARC Freight Dashboard, which serves as a tool to help explain how and where freight moves.
