From Slop to Citation: A Two-Month Feedback Loop in YouTube Micro-Drama Ecosystems

This dataset contains a complete screenshot archive, a conceptual header image (“Asynchronous Beef Explained”), and an accompanying micro-paper documenting a cross-temporal hostility recurrence between a YouTube creator and a recurring commenter. The included visual—framing the event as an asynchronous beef loop—functions as both a thematic figure and a conceptual diagram situating the incident within QSOL-IMC’s broader digital ethnography framework. The study analyzes Phase 1 (initial troll raid) and Phase 2 (delayed retaliatory comment), highlighting the dynamics of memetic lexicon recycling, emotional latency, creator–viewer asymmetry, and escalation through DOI-based academic retaliation. This record forms part of an ongoing research program examining micro-drama dynamics, hostility loops, symbolic interaction architectures, and the emergence of “academicized conflict” within contemporary online ecosystems.
