Prokaryotic communities in a circumneutral-pH mixture of flotation and roaster tailings

The inactive Giant Mine is among the most challenging mine-site remediation projects in Canada. Main concern is As, and active reclamation has been ongoing since 2005. This study presents microbiological data from the Northwest tailings impoundment, which contains a mixture of flotation tailings and arsenic trioxide roaster waste with low residual sulfur content and high As-bearing Fe oxide content.
