Chromobacterium Genome sequencing and assembly. Chromobacterium

The genus Chromobacterium has undergone many revisions over the past few decades, and has expanded rapidly since its reduction to a single species (C. violaceum). C. pseudoviolaceum was added to the genus as a revision of a previously assigned strain by Kämpfer, Busse, and Scholz in 2009. As part of an effort to further define the genus, several new Chromobacterium genomic sequences have been added to the database to allow comparison, annotation, and correction if necessary.
