Interjurisdictional Fisheries Management Support Program
收藏资源简介:
The Interjurisdictional Fisheries Management Support Program has been operating since 1988. The program has evolved from one that assisted fishermen to improve their fishing techniques into a conservation engineering effort that concentrates on fisheries technology as a means to further the conservation of the fishery resources and support sound fisheries management. This program, which functions within the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MaDMF) Conservation Engineering Program, is comprised of a Program Coordinator (Aquatic Biologist III), one Aquatic Biologist II, and one seasonal Fisheries Technician (Fisheries Supervisor). The Fisheries Technician assists the full time staff by boarding contracted or cooperating commercial fishing vessels, sampling the vessel activities and catch, and assisting in data processing.
