Small Time Deposits – Total

This is a Federal Reserve dataset hosted by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database. The small-denomination time deposits component of M2 includes bank time deposits and savings accounts with balances below $100,000 USD. This component excludes balances held in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Keogh plan accounts, as the severe penalties for early withdrawals render their liquidity too low to be included in monetary aggregates.
