北太平洋海域10km将来予測データ FORP-NP10 version4.5

FORP（領域海洋将来予測データセット）は、CMIP5（第5次結合モデル相互比較プロジェクト）の複数の気候モデル/シナリオによる大気データを外力として、高解像度の領域海洋モデルシミュレーションにより作成された将来予測データセットで、文部科学省気候変動適応技術社会実装プログラム（SI-CAT）（課題番号： JPMXD0715667163）において始められ、その後、統合的気候モデル高度化研究プログラム領域テーマC「統合的気候変動予測」（JPMXD0717935561）に引き継がれて改良が行われた。気候変動予測先端研究プログラムにおいて二つのCMIP5大気外力データを用いた将来予測データを作成した。開発は、国立研究開発法人海洋研究開発機構と気象庁気象研究所が協力して行っている。海洋モデルとして、気象庁気象研究所で開発がなされている先端的な海洋大循環モデルコードMRI.COMv4 (Tsujino et al. 2017) が用いられている。

FORP-NP10は、水平解像度約10kmの北太平洋海域モデルによる1970年から2100年までの連続計算を行うことにより作成された、北太平洋海域の海洋将来予測データセットである。外力に使用するCMIP5のモデル/シナリオとして、2つのモデル（GFDL-ESM2MとIPSL-CM5A-MR）のHistorical (1981～2005年)、 RCP8.5 (2006～2100年)、 RCP2.6(2006～2100年)シナリオを採用した。FORP-NP10 version 4と併用することによりアンサンブル数が増加し、将来予測の不確実性の評価に用いることができる。

The FORP (Domain Ocean Future Prediction Dataset) is a dataset of future predictions created using high-resolution regional ocean model simulations with atmospheric data as external forces derived from multiple climate models/scenarios of the CMIP5 (Fifth Coupled Model Intercomparison Project). It was initiated under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Climate Change Adaptation Technology Social Implementation Program (SI-CAT) (Project Number: JPMXD0715667163) and was subsequently improved under the Integrated Climate Model Enhancement Research Program, Theme C 'Integrated Climate Change Prediction' (JPMXD0717935561). Future prediction data were created using two CMIP5 atmospheric external force datasets within the Climate Change Prediction Advanced Research Program. The development was carried out in collaboration between the National Research and Development Corporation, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology, and the Japan Meteorological Agency's Research Institute for Climate Change. The advanced ocean general circulation model code MRI.COMv4 (Tsujino et al. 2017) developed at the Japan Meteorological Agency's Research Institute for Climate Change is used as the ocean model. FORP-NP10 is a dataset of ocean future predictions for the North Pacific region, created by performing continuous calculations from 1970 to 2100 using the North Pacific regional ocean model with a horizontal resolution of about 10 km. For the CMIP5 models/scenarios used as external forces, two models (GFDL-ESM2M and IPSL-CM5A-MR) were adopted for the Historical (1981-2005) and RCP8.5 (2006-2100) and RCP2.6 (2006-2100) scenarios. By combining with FORP-NP10 version 4, the ensemble number increases, enabling the evaluation of uncertainties in future predictions.
