资源简介:
The northern shrimp is an important economic species showing continuously declining biomass across the Northwest Atlantic. Knowledge on recruitment dynamics and genetic structure of northern shrimp remains limited, thus restraining the comprehension of how current demographic trends will continue under future marine climate warming scenarios. In our project we aim at providing fine-scale information on population genetics structure and metabolic responses to evaluate the accuracy of projections from dispersal and habitat based models. More specifically, this project have four objectives, 1) to generate a reference genome and transcriptome of northern shrimp, 2) to determine fine-scale population structure along the Atlantic Canadian coast with thousands of SNP markers, 3) identify genes implicated in response and adaptation to temperature and 4) define the spatial scales of dispersal and connectivity for current and future condition.
