Gut and Skin Microbial Dysbiosis and Systemic Inflammation in Pruritic HIV Patients with Immunological Non-responser

This study investigates the association between gut/skin microbial dysbiosis and systemic inflammation in people living with HIV who have immunological non-responsiveness and pruritus. 16S rRNA gene sequencing was applied to fecal and skin swab samples to profile the microbiota. The findings aim to clarify how microbial dysbiosis contributes to systemic inflammation and pruritus in this patient group, supporting the development of targeted interventions.
