This dataset is derived from a research paper under the project titled "Molecular Regulation of Secondary Growth of Forest Trees and Mechanisms of Environmental Stress Response". The dataset focuses on association analysis between eucalyptus growth and wood mechanical properties using microsatellite markers. Tree growth and wood mechanical performance are critical target traits for industrial forest breeding and genetic improvement. In this study, microsatellite markers associated with eucalyptus growth and wood mechanical traits were identified, and favorable and/or unfavorable alleles were determined based on the traits predicted by the significant markers. Ten out of the thirteen key loci are functionally homologous to known genes or predicted proteins. These important loci possess great value for molecular marker-assisted breeding of new fast-growing and high-quality eucalyptus plantation varieties.
