HOE-Legacy 3 cruise, Seaglider 146, Mission 12

The objective of the HOE-Legacy 3 cruise was to conduct water-column observations and sampling within an anticyclonic eddy to the north of the Hawaiian Islands. The precise location of the cruise was determined approximately 7-10 days prior to departure according to satellite-derived sea surface height data. We followed an eddy which was predicted to be at 26° N, 155°W by the 23 March. Once on station we deployed surface drifters and conducted water-column sampling using the CTD-rosette alongside the drifters for the duration of the cruise.
