Chromosome-scale genome and transcriptome resources for sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) cultivar AAC Mountainview

This BioProject represents a multi-omic characterization of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia), an autotetraploid forage legume valued for its high-quality forage, absence of ruminant bloat, and resilience in marginal environments. Sequencing of the AAC Mountainview genotype included long-read (PacBio HiFi, Oxford Nanopore), Illumina short-read, and Hi-C chromatin interaction data, enabling the construction of a chromosome-scale reference assembly. Complementary RNA-seq datasets from multiple tissues and stress conditions were generated to support gene prediction, annotation, and expression analysis
