Pexa-Vec stimulation of T-cell activity

Use of an immunotherapeutic oncolytic virus delivered to patients with either colorectal cancer liver metastases or metastatic melanoma to improve chances of effecting a cure. Surgical resection revealed an intratumoural cytotoxic T-cell infiltrate resulting in transient innate and long-lived adaptive anti-cancer immunity. T-cell repertoire was analysed to determine whether there was a change in T-cell receptor diversity in patients with significant tumour necrosis.
