Temperature and salinity from the MITgcm simulation over the Gulf of Trieste (GoT) for 2023. Values extracted at the closest cell grid to the VIDA buoy location (~45.55 °N, 13.55 °E). Data encoded in a 2D array (time, depth) with variable depth discretisation (0.5 m in the topmost 6 layers, then 1 m in the interior and 2 m in the lowest 2 layers) and hourly averages in time.
