Berberis koreana (B koreana) is a medicinally valuable shrub in Korea, China and Japan. B koreana do not have reference genome information. With COding GENome reconstruction Tool (Cogent), the HQ coding sequences were analyzed to reconstruct and generate 19,902 reads from reconstructed coding contigs with 60.49 Mbp. . Thus, the number of reads in the Unitransmodel genome was 23,246 which varied in length from 100 bp to 13,544 bp with a mean of 3,059 bp.
