Relative survival of wild-type B. anthracis Sterne (WT) and either ΔhtrA or ΔyceGH after being mixed at a 1:1 ratio and injected into each larva. Assays were repeated three independent times.
Statistical analysis indicates the significant difference in carriage of virulence factors (based on a PCR survey) and lethal effects (Low LD50) with larvae inoculated with ST69 and ST127 strains.
