Characterization of the Forkhead transcription factor fhpA in Aspergillus flavus

The fhpA gene was disrupted in a CA14 Aspergillus flavus stain utilizing the Aspergillus oryzae pyrithimaine (ptrA) selectable marker. Genomic DNA (gDNA) was isolated from this strain utilizing the Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial Miniprep Kit (Zymo Research, D6005). Isolated gDNA was sent to Novogene Corporation (Sacramento, CA, USA) for whole genome sequencing. Genomic DNA libraries were constructed and quantified using standard Novogene protocols. Quantified libraries were pooled and sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencer.
