Electricity prices for households in Hungary 2018-2023, semi-annually

Hungarian electricity consumers experienced a decrease in the price of electricity from 2020 to 2022, with the price falling to 0.07euros per kilowatt hour (kWh) in the first half of 2022.  However, prices increased again to 0.09 euros by the second half of the year and remained at the same level in 2023.Energy in HungaryHungary uses a diverse range of fuels to generate energy. In the first half of 2021, Germany had the highest electricity prices of all European countries.
